My Psychic Card Reading

My Psychic Card Reading

Recently my sister went to visit a psychic. She really enjoys going to see them and it makes her happy. My Dad on the other hand, he isn’t too fussed on them. And being much older, I suppose he doesn’t really have any reason to visit them! Unless they will tell him he will win the lotto!

So my sister told me that the lady she went to would be doing a presentation and doing a short 10 minute card reading for the people who came. I’ve only visited 2 other psychics before, so I decided to see what this lady would say!

The first lady I went to was only for 20 minutes… and I honestly forget what she said. One thing I remember her saying was that I would be travelling to somewhere near Australia (I went to China in the end). I was adamant that I was going to America, so when she said that, I was a bit surprised.

The second lady is quite famous in the psychic world, but again I forget what she said! I remember she was good anyway!

So I really did try and remember what the most recent psychic told me; and I was pleasantly surprised!

Before she started on her 1-1 clients, she asked a few people to pick out 3 cards while thinking of the question they wanted answered. I volunteered and picked out 3. When she got to me, she answered my question and she added “I feel your partner doesn’t have an Irish accent. I feel he has a different accent to you”. And she was perfectly right, as my fiancé is from Mexico. My sister and Dad were there sitting with me and they were also surprised!

So I had to wait ages to see her again 1-1. Finally I did, and she was so nice! We used different cards and I had to ask different questions and what not. Then we moved onto my future and she spoke to me about what the cards that I picked out represented. She eased my worries on some issues and all in all I was happy I went. I know a lot of people think it’s a load of crap, but if it makes the person happy and more content then what’s the harm?

As it was only a 10 minute session, time just flew by…. I’d love to visit her for a proper session, but unfortunately she is all booked up while I’m home.

So yes, it was a pleasant evening that I had with my sister and Dad… but there was no mention of winning the lottery unfortunately!

A Trip To The Capital; Dublin

Even though my hometown is about (1.5 hour by bus) to Dublin, you would think that I would go up and visit more often, but surprisingly I rarely go! Since I’ve arrived home, I’ve had to go up twice for work reasons, but it definitely wasn’t for a visit! I did what I needed to do, then got the bus back.

I’ve never really thought much about living in Dublin while I was living in Ireland. I just never thought of it like that. Since living in China and living in such a big city as Chengdu, I’ve become used to large cities. Before leaving Ireland, I always thought Dublin was a big city. I’ve never had anything to compare it with, so I naively thought it was big.

My perception now is quite different!

But my two times having to go up, I’ve realised that I wouldn’t mind living there; it’s compact, walkable, not too busy, a lot of places to eat, and it just seems like a nice city to live in.

But… of course there are downsides; it’s a ridiculously expensive city, and rent is very very high… too high for me to afford! So I don’t think I would be able to live there unfortunately!

I think the last time I was in Dublin was a few years ago, and this time I noticed that there are so many more little cafes open! The ones with tables and chairs outside. There are loads now in the city! I do like this, but Dublin isn’t exactly like some city in Spain or France… the weather isn’t ideal for sitting outside. But yeah, there are loads more of these places about!

I was also surprised by how many foreigners there were! Groups of Italians, groups of Spanish, Chinese…. it was crazy! I suppose that I’m so used to seeing mostly Chinese people in Chengdu, that it’s strange to see people of other nationalities! I’m sure many are studying English here.

Another thing I’ve noticed is how small the city actually is! Having to walk from one place to another, I was surprised about how much distance I covered while looking at google maps. In Chengdu, I wouldn’t get very far (distance wise) by walking. So I suppose this showed me how small it is!

So Dublin has changed a little since the last time I’ve been here, plus my perception of it has changed, for the better I think!

Enjoying Time With Family

Enjoying Time With Family

I’ve been back in Ireland for just over a week and so far it’s been a mix of peace and quiet…. then all hell breaks loose once the nephews are over, but it’s great to see them and play with them! I can now play more with my nephew, who is 6 years old; having me race him up and down our garden, doing tumbles, playing frisbee and of course hide and seek! I can now have more of a grown up conversation with him compared to the last time I was over.

My youngest nephew is now around 2.5 years old, and although he’s still not speaking, he knows exactly what I’m saying to him! At the moment he’s slow at talking, but he’s trying to make out words; banana is ‘ana’ for example.  So he’s trying at least!

With my fiancé in Mexico, it’s nice to be with the family and be like ‘old times’.  Although I miss him, I’m enjoying my time with the family.

Being back in my own bed means I’ve been having really good night sleeps. In Chengdu I never feel rested after a night’s sleep; maybe it’s our rock hard bed, but here I sleep really well. I forgot how super comfy my bed is!

And the weather has actually been better than Mexico for once! I hear it’s raining, thundery and sometimes cold where my fiancé is, but yesterday the weather in Ireland was fantastic! So so far it’s not too bad! Anyway I don’t mind if it’s not too good; I’m not visiting just for the weather.

So so far I’m having a lovely time. I’ve been so used to having just my fiancé as company, so it’s nice to be able to talk with the family and interact with them. I suppose I just got so used to having only my fiancé about in China, so when I came back here, I realised how much I missed having others company.

I’ll enjoy it while it lasts!
